The Nelons were scheduled to perform, continuing their decades-long ministry of sharing hope and faith through song. Witnesses described the horrifying scene as the aircraft, reportedly a twin-engine private plane, appeared to experience mechanical trouble before bursting into flames and crashing into a remote field in Wyoming. Despite the rapid response of emergency personnel, the wreckage was engulfed in fire by the time rescuers arrived. There were no survivors.
