In an official statement, police emphasized that the public should not speculate about motive or suspect identity until facts have been confirmed
“At this time, we have no verified information regarding the shooter’s identity, motive, or connection to any of the victims. We are pursuing all leads, reviewing evidence, and speaking with witnesses. Our priority is public safety, transparency, and thorough investigation.
Special Units within the police department — including homicide, forensics, and crisis negotiation teams — are involved. Assistance has also been requested from regional law enforcement partners.
