I Bought a Used Washing Machine and Found a Diamond Ring Inside—Returning It Brought Ten Police Cars to My Door

We definitely didn’t have the money for a new appliance. So that weekend, I took them to a thrift store that sold used machines. In the back, we found one with a cardboard sign:

“$60. AS IS. NO RETURNS.”
